T4 TAROT

The outlaw as the central energy. Humans are hard wired to be part of the pack. To conform. When we step outside of that, we fear for our survival.

This week the overall question is in what way can we grown beyond the boxes society has made for us?

The Page of Pentacles opens up the week (well being the curious fella he is, he would wouldn’t he?) He is one of the more stable messengers. You may well be valuing the traditional aspects of your upbringing but still feel like you should be somewhere else. Or perhaps something you’ve been working on judiciously, is about to come to fruition. Stability is at the root of the beginning of this week. Because this is next to Judgement and the central energy of breaking traditions and following your own path, I wonder if it has some other context to it?

Things may be starting to take a life of their own. Perhaps your plans are materialising more rapidly but also more wholey than you imagined. Just as it does you will realise that it is aligning with your heart’s desire. You are about to embark on a whole new way of being. More real, more tangible, more connected with you. If you have closed your heart then this resistance will be overcome. Renewed Passion, new career, new way of living. It matters not. Just know it’s what you want and you are following your own compass! I’ve no doubt that those traditions or morals that the Page of Pentacles brings will keep you acting in good faith … I for one am happy to see so much less of the inner conflict of last week pass. Just the two reversals and these are positive in this Reading.

Midweek energy is reinforced with The Magician. Powerfully imbued with all the skills and resources that are within him. Look at you! Your ideas are on fire! You are creating! I’m so proud of you!

If this seems like an over reaction, have a word with yourself. Don’t be so modest. You have put in the work. You are bursting out of your cocoon and the newness will soon be there for all to see. But you know what? Who cares? This isn’t for anyone else. It’s just for you.!

A blinding success. You have been decisive. You have a plan. You are following your truth and because of this commitment to you, what you are creating will ensure abundance in your life be that money, resources, health or luck. If not the whole lot!!!!

RELEASE: It looks like it’s possible you will be reflecting a lot this week on what no longer serves you.  As you may know, I read reversals as an internalised energy (on the whole) and you can see here that the first four days of the week we have four reversals.  I get the feeling this is going to be about out relationships with others and ourselves due to the large percentage of court cards also in this Reading.  Before we look at that let’s consider the central energy of ‘release’.   This connects with last  week, sometimes we have a plan about where we’re heading.  It’s easier for us to compartmentalise or repress our blocks, but it’s important to explore these and consider new ways of behaving to ensure we release old patterns and prevent us from being ‘stuck’

The only major Arcana this week Reading is the Hermit Reversed.  This week it’s time to make your own decisions based on what you think.  Even though there are times when you may usually ‘consult’ or ‘please’ others now is not one of those.  The Hermit in this deck is kind and but not bothered about the opinions of others he is consistently clear about the path he walks.

King of Swords Reversed enables you to ask yourself the right questions that bring about clarity of mind.  Your experiences will help you gain the confirmation you’re looking for.  You don’t need external validation.  If you are even doubting for one moment about making your own decisions, take a look at this excert from this decks Queen of Pentacles where ‘the sheep takes Alice’s money and tells her to get the egg herself:

I never put things into people’s hands – that would never do – you must get it for yourself

Alice doesn’t understand why it would never do but the sheep knows that it is better for people to reach for their own desires.

Mid week the energy of the 5 of Swords Reversed could mean you are hearing the opinions of others that may wish to sway you or at very least cast doubt upon your plans. But I feel that the reversal of this card encourages you to stay committed to your chosen path. Perhaps, you have previously taken others advice to discover the outcome wasn’t really what you wanted, and look!…..

… The Eight of cups around Friday time means be sure you are taking into the future only what you want. You may have started off intending to take an idea or something/one with you, only to realise now, that infact, it has no purpose to your plans anymore. If circumstances have changed and you have been left with things or relationships that no longer suit you. It’s ok to leave them behind. Of course some people will question you, perhaps they’ll even question your commitment and call you out for giving up? If you hear the ‘Go,Go,Go’ in your heart follow it. Sometimes we feel resistance because it’s unfamiliar. Keep searching if that’s your calling.

So now we approach the weekend and the Six of Pentacles appears. I feel this indicates that all the inward reflection this week enables you to assess how to move forward. Of you require resources they will be available. Not necessarily without doing something in return (although, you may already have completed the necessary tasks to benefit). Your judgement is sound and if you are not the one needing extra resources then perhaps you are in a position to help others be it via acts of service, donation, or sharing of experience. Could even be in terms of giving closure to another.

The Queen of Swords closes this week, of course she does! Who else would have been able to do this so well? It may well be, that some will question if you’ve thought things through. Little do they know (unless they’ve seen this Reading) that all week, if not longer, you’ve been drawing on your experience and all that time spent hypothesising and reflecting has set you in good stead to take action. You have not just happened upon your plan, it is well-thought out. And if anyone tries to convince you otherwise, or plea not to be left behind ‘off with his head’ you’ve no time for sob stories or deception. You’re not having any of it. Time to move on!

It’s March so what better deck to use than Wonderland in Tarot I think I’m using the vague connection of the White rabbit and Mad Hatter …. Well it’s a new to me deck so here we go ….

The central energy of this week is Strength Reversed this can make us feel a little less confident than usual. Perhaps we are going to be experiencing the discomfort of some of the more painful aspects of our current lives. This may lead us to seeking out pleasure perhaps even wildly so, with a sense of hedonism. The question is (I suppose) is pain really of no value? Let’s see where this Reading is taking us… I’m intrigued!

Well immediately, we can see all the cards in the spread are reversals apart from one (The seven of swords upright). Many readers choose to not read reversals, but here, is an example of why I love to do so.

As well as giving a different meaning, I find reversals often reflect a lot of our internal dilemmas and emotions so now we can see the relevance of the reversed Strength card set among an almost entirely reversed spread!

Page of Cups, King of Wands and six of Wands all reversed. Don’t let your lack of self-confidence interfer with this week’s opportunities. You could be second guessing yourself. Maybe you have a presentation or project that has a deadline looming and you aren’t sure you are ready. Fear of failure may well be the predictor of the outcome. I get the sense that you may feel this week’s opportunities may be one of those one time offers. So put on your best performance. You may be reflecting on your previous perceived failures. Put those aside, consider any lessons and know that they in no way affect the forthcoming event. Every opportunity or situation we get into is independent of our previous successes or failures. Every outcome is dependent on the what you deliver in that moment and how prepared we are. So dive in grab that opportunity. Go for it! Take action in a King of Wands way. Show off your skills, talents and uniqueness. This is no time to be a shrinking violet. If you need some extra support or assistance to achieve your goal don’t be afraid to ask and acknowledge the support given to you.

Mid week the Seven of Swords beckons, make sure your intentions are clear. Be as sure as you can that there are no misunderstandings. Could someone interpret your behaviour wrongly? Perhaps, you have a sense of false guilt when in reality there is no need to feel that way. Perhaps, you are just afraid of receiving negative judgement? Act with integrity and transparency and don’t be too harsh on yourself.

I see by the end of the week, the Page of Pentacles is still making you feel less capable and more unprepared. This could just give the extra impetus to complete the final bit of effort. If you have taken that little bit of extra time to Carry out checks, I feel this will not be wasted. You are probably a lot more prepared than you believe. If you have been doing additional studying, then it looks like this too will pay off or perhaps you have just a little more time before your deadline to make it count.

At the start of the reading, I noted how fear of failure contributes towards failure. If your deadline is looming then this is a reminder that your double checks, good preparation and positivity are well placed. If your deadline has passed and you did not accomplish all you’d hoped, this card is reminding you not to stay focussed on the element of failure you feel. Look at your performance, see where you were possibly lacking and how you may improve or learn from that. Remember, when tuning into the vibrational energy required to succeed we must tune into the feeling of what success is to us, that is one of the keys to manifestation.

Part of our human-ESS is always Searching for things to accomplish, but we really do make a meal of it often! Sometimes (like Alice, we are led down the rabbit hole!) Before you Refocus ask yourself; Do you really need to fit into a box you’ve believed you needed to be in? Are your motivations for achieving, for yourself or expectations out on you? Are you being cajoled by others in the guise of supporting you, when infact it feels like outside pressure and expectations? Maybe your goals are even outdated and you’ve moved on and they are now no longer relevant to your evolution? In which case….

…. Dust yourself off.

Both this card and the next (The Tower reversed) are indicating you need to drawn a line in the sand. Be present with your tasks. Learn but don’t let your imagination get out of control or dwell.

In the supporting literature that comes with this deck I see these two paragraphs about The Tower which I feel sums up the final part of this week’s reading.

‘In this last scene of Through the looking glass the Red and White Queens insist on “supporting” her by moving in very closely on each side, nearly squeezing her to death. Just before the madness takes over, Alice gets a warning:

” Take care of yourself!” Screamed the White Queen, seizing Alice’s hair with both her hands “SOMETHING’S GOING TO HAPPEN!”

Nothing bad is going to happen but if it feels bad there’s your sign to make the move!

And in the second paragraph:

Alice tried really hard to fit into the Looking-Glass world and did everything she needed to do to become a Queen. During her short adventure she constructed an understanding of the place, a plan to achieve a goal, and nurtured expectations of what it would be like. When the world she built turned out to be nothing at all like she expected, she did not continue to live in untenable disaster.

Instead, she pressed the reset button.

Looks like March will be gifting us brand new opportunities opening with the Ace of Pentacles. Probably these opportunities will be as a result of some good choices and things that have had the groundwork laid. Could it be you’ve already, had news that this opportunity is on it’s way and are eagerly awaiting it’s arrival or is it just an inkling.

Either way, The Moon may highlight some of your fears or perhaps even show you some glitches in your plans which could cause you to have concerns that blocks will occur or something will disrupt the efforts you’ve been making to create a good, stable foundation and slow up the arrival of this opportunity or new beginning. The three of pentacles reversed in relation to the other cards here, leads me to think that you may well feel that other parties are not being good team members or pulling their weight, whether within the family or workplace. The energy of the Reversed Queen of Pentacles could be causing you to hold onto to your feelings about the situation or feeling a little abandoned, maybe even fearful of not achieving your new hopes. You may be in denial about how disappointed you are by the lack of cohesive teamwork or not want it to show how much this means to you.

Acknowledgeding your emotions is the first step. Things are probably best out in the open and some form of tact will be required to vocalise your thoughts. To see this through beneficially, don’t just ‘stuff it down’ and allow things to fester. Lead the way in the solution finding. Once people realise how much this means to you and what the benefits as a whole are to be gained, everyone concerned will be onboard.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this turnaround. The Page of Cups brings an unexpected apology, offer of assistance or whatever it is that’s been missing to kick-start the new opportunity; Could even be a surprise announcement such as a baby or engagement.

Looks like balance is restored as the Six of Pentacles arrives with this assistance or idea coming in whatever form it’s required. I see this as being met half way (in this reading). It’s presence will be appreciated restoring harmony within the home or workplace and it will feel like people are now working together. This resolution is just what’s needed to secure the opportunity you saw at the beginning of the month. Everything slots into place for all’s well in a ten of cups kind of way! Happy home, career success, a fresh new beginning and one that looks like it will be around for a while!

At the centre of this week’s spread is The Guardian of the Gate from the Faeries Oracle. Being appreciative of art, these are among my favoured decks but I don’t seem to use them often. For whatever reason, I was drawn to use this pack and was struck by the reoccurring theme. The creator of this deck (Brian Froud) tells us that this Guardian is the facilitator, enabling us to move from one realm to another at times and at others, blocking the passage for things that are not yet ready to pass through. I feel this ties in with the reoccurring appearance of The Universe card in the readings so far this year. Of course we are still experiencing the energy of today’s full moon phase. The deck’s guide quotes ‘We can not make the mystical experience happen to us, we can only open our hearts wider and wider until we are ready usually only momentarily, to receive it’
Whenever we help or are helped through the passage of something difficult we are experiencing the energy of this Guardian. We may find this week our acts of service mean more than we imagine but be sure you will feel alive and inspired.

Strength Reversed (Lust/Passion) Unbridled passion is likely to be the driving force of this week. Sure this could of course be in a physical sense with The Lovers in such close proximity. Perhaps you desire to renew passion and fantasy into your daily life as part of a re-energising yourself. It appears you are making the right choices to follow your passions in whatever direction you are inspired to. The Two of wands indicates that you are seeking new beginning and a solid foundation that no doubt is rooted in the actual presence of passion in you life or looking at ways to bring it in. This feels like the right choices are being made and with the Guardians energy it is likely you will be gaining universal assistance or you yourself will be holding the ‘gate’ open for another. Perhaps you are energetically bouncing ideas off each other to co-create.

By Friday you may be feeling this transformational shift and be ready to break with the past. You will feel ready for the renewal. If you are struggling and feeling martyr-ish (hanged man reversed) about dropping the past ties or holding on to negative self belief, try viewing things from an alternative perspective. Remind yourself, the desire for a passionate, fulfilled future is waiting for you. The seven of cups urges you to let your imagination roam free. Experiment. Try something new. Follow the unknown. And if that’s not a perfect recipe for keeping life bright, I don’t know what is!

Hello new Season!

Snow moon reading February 27th Full moon magic

A few days ago I received a phone call from one of my daughters. Was I alright? She had chest pains and thought something was wrong with me. Well, as it happened I wasn’t feeling particularly well, and I had some aches as she described. “I thought that may be the case!” she declared, and (since she’s most likely got some of my odd characteristics) continued with ” I thought I better send a care package”

Now, a mainstream mother may expect a few vitamins, some soap perhaps a bar of chocolate of flowers, what have you.

A day or so later, the same daughter was on video chat when the postman knocked. “Ah! I think your parcel is here”

So we had great delight in opening it via technology. She must have thought I was on deaths door as she’d gone a little mad, There were an array of essential oils, a little candle holder, essential white sage (extra appreciated as I was running low), some cute candles for spell work as well as a variety of stones, incense and crystals for abundance. Had I actually been dying, no doubt this would have whisked me away from the grim reaper’s grasp. Fortunately, things were not quite so grave and I had some time to appreciate them and revel in that moment of love!

“How fortuitous” I mused “just in time for the forthcoming full moon, I will incorporate these into my full moon reading at the weekend.”

And that is precisely what I did.

I love that our ancestors called this moon the Snow moon to track the seasons and this is my favoured name. It brings to my mind the anticipation of the spring and all the renewal that comes with it.

If you are keen on a little Moon Manifestation a full moon is highly energised and ideal for intention setting. I decided to incorporate my some new gifts for generalised abundance and blessings.

For this snow moon reading, I used the Lumens Tarot because I love it and just 3 cards, as over the next ‘3’ days we will see ‘3’ readings and wait for it … They will proceed month ‘3’ of the year … Yep made myself dizzy thinking about that .. Anyway, I digress as usual.

This lovely trio of cards all with their moons or full moon shaped spheres at the centre of the illustration, it couldn’t be more appropriate for this type of reading. They clearly highlight the moon phase and I would use them for guided meditation to enhance any intention setting (if I was without specific intention).

I will read them in the order of the spread and in context with the current moon phase.

Shadow: By it’s very nature the full moon illuminates things that could be hidden during other cycles. On a clear night, light is cast, putting a spotlight on certain things and giving us a whole new perspective. Of course where there is light, there is also shadow. Our intention setting can be used to identify what shadow work is needed for the next phase of our development or healing. It may be that our perceived faults are highlighted, but are they really faults, or are they infact gifts? This card depicts a bat, supposedly blind but by producing high frequency sounds and listening to the echo they gain an incredibly accurate idea of their environment. In our own way, when we complete our shadow work, like the bat we must trust our natural guidance, in respect of things we can not see in their entirety.

The Universe: We’ve seen this card appear several times already this year. This is a repeated message to trust what the Universe has in store for you. In relation to full moon intention setting trust once you have completed your spell work, that this will come true. Your belief and trust are crucial and the release once completed is all part of the the process. In addition, if this is not a contradiction, we may want to remember that our empowerment is a required ingredient in order for the Universe to support us

I find this card usually appears when a cycle has completed. In a simplistic way we have in fact completed a lunar cycle as we are at the close of the month. This may well signal the end of a cycle for you personally and our need for acceptance as we transfer into the next, yet again perfect for intention setting. Ask yourself, what cycles do you want to close off?

Sacred sexuality: Although, not the intended meaning of this card, it’s appearance in this full moon phase to me would be auspicious for pregnancy, combined with the forthcoming spring season, and feminine cycles this was highlighted to me as a potential. Perhaps we’ll have a burst of December babies! Be warned if you don’t desire to start or add to your family 🤔

It is also interesting to note that full moon is  interconnected with sexual magic so is an excellent time to manifest your ideal lover or partner, if this is something you wish for. If not perhaps this is a time to appreciate yourself and benefit from indulging in the extra virile lunar energies!

Ask; Am I seeking validation within relationships instead of sourcing from within?

We can use the full moon to assist if we need healing and combined with the shadow card you can incorporate dream work as part of that process. Through our sexual energy, we are empowered and learn boundaries. Our sacred sexuality is unique and has no need to conform, it combines both masculine and feminine energies. When we are disconnected from either of these aspects of ourselves we restrict our ability to become fully intimate with our true selves and as such blocked from true intimacy with others. The rose on this card is an indication of our need for protection or boundaries.

The Universe is the overall energy of the week and I feel we may be at the centre of something which has us feeling a little out of sorts but it looks as though things may just turn out for the best! When this card appear we are being asked to pose the question ‘What if this is for my highest good?’. Whenever, I hear that you can almost be sure that something difficult is happening but a surprising outcome is on the verge of becoming known.

With the Two of Swords starting the week, we may be required to use your inner focus to remove the distractions that we or others bring to us/ourselves. The coloured swords show that at this time we require self-defence both in the 3d and also mentally. We can see quite clearly that we may experience some dishonesty, perhaps we are the ones delivering that deception to someone else (if so, be warned deceptions will be exposed). The page of cups brings forth an apology, he is well intentioned so perhaps the deception was not intended to hurt anyone. If you are the one who has unintentionally delivered the Seven of Swords show your remorse gently. Any apology, received will be genuine.

Perhaps, this apology is cathartic? For midweek, the Nine of Cups appears and supports you with a Universal blessing. Ask ‘What if everything works out just as I only dare to hope it will? ‘ You may not see clearly, especially with the two of swords entering so early in the week, but be sure the presence of the much awaited 9 of cups is working behind the scenes to deliver whatever your heart most desires.

Get your hopes and goals clear. Don’t limit yourself and don’t be afraid to wish for the stars!

Friday’s energy is that of The Star bringing her beautiful gift of healing and confirming that breakthrough is on its way. Everything is falling into place. Harmony is being restored. All that is left for you to do is open your heart and gratefully receive those blessings. Look to your higher self’s calling and expect something miraculous.

This reading has a sense of a fairly quick or unexpected outcome. So if you have had some disharmony I would expect you to gain resolution around the close of the week (if not in practice then with personal peace).

You can rest at the end of the week and Trust the energy of the Universe is working on your behalf. You have laid the foundations and like the two of wands have put in the work necessary. You have not wasted your time observing and thinking. Those things have been just as important as the practical steps taken. There is nothing left for you to do, be confident of your success.

The Pillar is the centrepiece and I’m immediately drawn to the reflection of the Hierophant or as depicted in this Seventh sphere deck high priest. You may well be stepping up or feeling the need to be all things to all people. You could be inspired to share knowledge, love stability with those around you.

Glancing at the reading as a whole I feel we could be using the skills learned during those times if chaos, destruction, injustice etc to solidify your life roles. There could be a sense of co-dependence and it may be you or others need to apply self regulation or boundaries. Ask yourself if you are feeling the need to fulfil a caretaking role are you forsaking part of you? Are you acting through some form of repentance? If you can temper a need to over-give for your own salvation then know that you have much to share, that is of assistance to others. But I feel this could most likely be that through this you also gain knowledge to expand on your own learning and this will be a significant week of evolution for you.

The Seeker is at the centre of this week’s energy. And surprise it sits next to Mondays The Fool card! If that’s not an absolute confirmation of the universal trust and faith that this week promises I don’t know what is.

These two cards alone and alongside each other, urge us to reconnect with child-like joy. To have faith in all that the universe is providing. They are the promise that things are just as the should be. Spring is almost here and we should all be feeling a little more hope towards the days ahead. Small clues are showing, and I’m not sure about you but I’m definitely feeling the change.

The Fool steps out with optimism on his quest. He trusts he has loyalty and luck with him. You may notice those small signs nudging you just like those early signs of spring. These nudges are likely to offer you the gift of additional self confidence in what is being offered. The Queen of Wands is channelling powerful energies. Your genuine warmth and energy will draw people closer to you. Even if we are forced to keep our distance at this time you will feel the spiritual connections of loved ones.

Midweek two knights charge into action. It appears as though there are conflicting energies perhaps you or someone else is trying to rush in without thought (The Knight of Swords)..? Obviously The Fool earlier in the week would make this highly likely and you are being your queen-of-wands-charismatic-self so who could blame them!. It is however, balanced out by the second knight, The Knight of Cups. The enthusiasm is well meaning and full of genuine heartfelt love. They will expect equal reciprocity. If this is not a romantic gesture then friendship or self love is abundant. Whether you go along with the excitement or try to temper the pace is up to how much faith you have.

Later in the week if you need help or someone else does The King of Swords advises to use tact. You or they are proud and don’t like to be the beneficiary. In matters of the heart be open to receiving love you are most likely independent and not sure about relinquishing that.

As in the beginning of the week, big Major Arcana energies are here. The Chariot and The Emperor rule the weekend. Step into your personal power you are about to make real progress in life’s journey. It’s exciting and has the potential for great success. If this is a relationship forging together, it will have the potential to be a long-standing one. In respect of projects or finances what you are driving on with is for both the immediate and long term future.
